The Maui Humane Society presents “Bark in the Park” on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Keopuolani Park in Central Maui.

Organizers say the event promotes a healthy and active lifestyle for humans and dogs while raising awareness and funds for Maui’s homeless pets.

The public is invited to participate in the 1.5 or 3.1-mile (five kilometer) walk or run and pet Halloween costume contest for a fundraising minimum of $35 for adults and $20 for keiki under 12.
