County Seeking Members for Paratransit Advisory Council

meo_bus_330The Maui County Department of Transportation and MEO are seeking disabled and other individuals to join its Paratransit Advisory Council; some current members’ terms are expiring.

The council is made up of nine to 13 members. Their mission is to “educate stakeholders about ADA provisions governing paratransit services and identify and minimize system barriers for disabled individuals to improve their quality of life.”

The council meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every other month. The next meeting is Tuesday, Nov.r 17, 2015, from at the MEO Family Center at 99 Mahalani St. in Wailuku.

Agenda items include nominations and selection of the 2016 Paratransit Advisory Council members and service updates from MEO and the Maui County Department of Transportation.
