Kahului Public Library will offer two free events in January  in the Children’s Area.

  • Tuesday, Jan. 12 , 6 p.m. Movie Night: Shaun the Sheep. From the creators of Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit comes the story of a sheep with a heart of gold and a love for mischief, whose hijinks unintentionally lead to the farmer being taken to the Big City. Shaun and The Flock must now venture from the farm to the city to rescue the farmer. The movie is rated PG and suitable for ages 5 and older.
  • Saturday, Jan. 23, 2:30 p.m. Maui Science Center Presents Hands-On Science. Children ages 5 and older are invited to learn about things that ooze, glow, bounce, ring and illustrate basic science principles. Participants should wear old clothes and be prepared to conduct fun experiments. The Maui Friends of the Library is sponsoring this one-hour event.

Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver for both events.

Contact the library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed for these events.
