Maui Mayor and Budget Director to Discuss TAT, GET, Homeless

Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa and Budget Director Sandy Baz will discuss issues that the county administration is discussing with the state Legislature during the upcoming edition of the Mayor’s TV show entitled “Your County with Mayor Arakawa.”

Topics to be covered include the Transient Accommodations Tax, General Excise Tax, beach liability, issues relating to homelessness, new road from Māʻalaea over the “pali,” and the possible consolidation of some state and county departments.

The discussion will be moderated by Managing Director Kieth Regan and will be aired live on Akakū Channel 55 on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at 7 p.m.
