Scholarship Fundraiser to Honor Legendary Lakes

Hālau Wehiwehi O Leilehua, under the direction of Gordean Lee Bailey, will honor Maui’s kūpuna with hula and Hawaiian music on May 28, 2016, at the historic ʻĪao Theatre.

This show will be presented in honor of late Hawaiian music legend Kahauanu Lake and his wife, Maiki Aiu Lake, Bailey’s kumu hula. 

Music will be provided by Kuliaikanu‘u—Jeff Teves, Henry Barrett, Duane Conching and Paul Kim.

Proceeds of the show and silent auction will be donated to the Hayward Kahauanu Lake Scholarship at St. Anthony High School, Lake’s alma mater.
