Tiare Lawrence Receives First Endorsement From HSTA

State House District 12 House candidate Tiare Lawrence received her first endorsement from the Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association.

HSTA represents 13,500 educators statewide. Lawrence is one of a few new candidates to be endorsed by HSTA.

In a May 19th press release, HSTA president Corey Rosenlee said “We carefully reviewed their stances on important issues, So we are confident these candidates deserve teacher’s vote”.

Lawrence released a statement saying, “I am pleased to announce I received my first endorsement from Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association today. Better education and increasing teacher salary is a top priority to me. Mahalo Nui to HSTA and all of our educators statewide.”

Lawrence is challenging incumbent Kyle Yamashita for the 12th district house seat.
