Kamehameha Schools has named Adam Green as its Enterprise Finance Division director, a newly created position within KS’ Finance Group.

In his new role Green will support advancing the school’s Strategic Plan 2020, which increases KS’ ability to serve a larger number of Native Hawaiian students.

Green will be in charge of examining and analyzing the school’s endowment resources, and will provide guidance to maintain financial equilibrium.

One of his main job functions will be to design and consult financial strategies that support the success of Native Hawaiian learners.

The Finance Group includes commercial real estate, financial assets and finance, and is one of the many divisions at KS that offer direction to ensure the endowment continues to support future educational opportunities.

The group oversees the financial resources of the organization, including managing the KS endowment fund and providing enterprise-wide infrastructure for financial decision-making, accounting and cash management.

“I’m so pleased to have Adam at KS,” said Finance Managing Director Ben Salazar. “His years of experience in New York on Wall Street, coupled with his Hawai‘i upbringing will serve him well in his new position.”

Green will work with the Commercial Real Estate and Financial Assets divisions to assist in the integration of the organization’s financial activities.

Green studied economics at The University of Pennsylvania and finance at The Wharton School, graduating Summa Cum Laude with both degrees. He started his career on Wall Street at Citigroup in mergers and acquisitions, rising to the position of chief of staff for the Global Investment Banking Division.
