The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will present a return of Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Lisa Loeb in a “Solo Sessions” concert, Sunday, Aug. 6, in the McCoy Studio Theater at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will feature special guest, Maui’s own, Gail Swanson.

Loeb is well-known for her engaging style and lyrical melodies, including I Do, Nine Stories – Do You Sleep? and others. She started her career with the platinum hit, Stay (I Missed You), … and has parlayed that early success into a multidimensional career encompassing music, film, television, voice-over work and children’s recordings.

In 1994, when Loeb’s breakout song, Stay (I Missed You), landed at No. 1 on the charts, it was a remarkable and unparalleled feat for an unsigned artist. The song still resonates with people today, and is a testament to Loeb’s gift as a songwriter and storyteller.

This is a don’t-miss opportunity to experience Loeb’s artistry in the intimate setting of The MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater.

Swanson has also opened for Melissa Etheridge, The Doobie Brothers, David Crosby and CPR, The Radiators, Cecilio and Kapono, and has performed in numerous shows with Willie Nelson and Pat Simmons.

MACC members at the ‘Ohi‘a level and above qualify for advance ticket purchase benefits.
