Looking Ahead
Hot and muggy conditions will continue through next week. A trade wind weather pattern will remain through Saturday, bringing night time and early morning showers, with clearing by the afternoon. Winds will become light from Sunday into Tuesday as the remnant low of Celia passes a couple hundred miles north of the islands. Deep tropical moisture will move over the islands from Sunday through Wednesday, fueling locally heavy showers for both windward and leeward areas. Trade winds will return Wednesday, possibly becoming breezy Thursday and Friday as the next tropical system approaches.
Today & Sunday
Partly to mostly cloudy skies with showers likely for windward areas in the morning and partly sunny skies in leeward spots with isolated showers during the day. High temperatures from 85° to 90°. Winds will be out of the east from 10 to 20 mph.
UV index at 13 (“extreme” exposure level)
Tonight & Sunday Night
Northeast winds are expected from 10 to 20 mph tonight and Sunday night. Mostly cloudy with showers likely for windward spots and isolated leeward showers. Low temperatures from 72° to 77°.
