Leslie Mullens to Speak at MNHCoC Dinner

Esteemed management consultant Leslie Mullens will be the featured speaker at the Maui Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce Membership Dinner. The dinner will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapū.

Mullens will speak about The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, a best-selling business management book by author Patrick Lencioni. Partnering with Lencioni’s company, The Table Group, Mullens has licensed the Overcoming the Five Dysfunctions of a Team framework and materials to bring the transformative methodology to Hawai’i.

“Teamwork provides the ultimate competitive advantage in business, because it is both so powerful and so rare,” explained Mullens. “A high-functioning team can achieve its potential and this is how companies become more productive and effective. It also reduces the stress and dissatisfaction for everyone involved.”

Mullens is currently president & CEO of Maui-based PlayBook Consulting Group, a management consulting firm that specializes in statewide strategic planning and organizational effectiveness. She has developed and facilitated hundreds of workshops and retreats for Hawai’i’s leading corporate, small business, nonprofit, and government communities. As an expert in change management, cultural transformation, and cross-sector collaborative problem solving, her approach builds team capacity and confidence to get the job done.

No-host cocktails and networking will begin at 5:30 pm with dinner catered by Hoapili Ane.

Admission is $25 for members who pay in advance online or $30 at the door. Non-members will pay $35 at the door.
