The open house, hosted by the Department of Parks and Recreation, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Waikapū Community Center located at 22 East Waikō Road.

Residents can attend the event at any time between 5 and 8 p.m. and are free to walk around, look at the exhibits and contribute their ideas at their own pace.

“Kanahā Park is well utilized by families, fishermen, divers, water sports enthusiasts and many others,” said Parks & Recreation Director Kaala Bueconsejo. “The open house will provide an opportunity for all park users and area residents to learn about the planning process and meet the staff and consultants who are working on the project. During the open house you will be able to share your recommendations to the conceptual draft design.”
