The Shops at Wailea is continuing to give back to the community by supporting different Maui non-profits each month.

For the month of September, sixty percent of the Signature Events’ parking proceeds will go to Maui Hui Mālama.

For the month of September, The Shops at Wailea will donate 60% of it's Signature Events' parking proceeds to Maui Hui Malama. Maui Hui Mālama was created in 1973 to address the needs of Maui’s local youth.

The program served primarily teen mothers providing services, education, and prevention advocacy.

In over 40 years, Maui Hui Mālama has grown to provide a wide variety of personal development and academic support services to over 20,000 children, youth and their families, and adults in Maui County.

Maui Hui Mālama’s evolution is driven by the growing diversity of needs articulated by Maui community members.

The program has continued to meet the challenge of strengthening the community by providing unique opportunities for Maui’s youth and adults for more than three decades.

Maui Hui Mālama’s mission is to inspire, nurture, and empower youth to pursue careers that strengthen the islands’ economy, increase self-reliance, while providing integrative programs that help participants from various backgrounds to realize personal, academic and employment success.

The Shops at Wailea’s General Manager, Brian Yano said, “We are proud of this initiative of giving back and supporting local Maui non-profit organizations. Maui Hui Mālama is a wonderful organization and we truly value their mission to provide Maui’s youth and adults opportunities to acquire the skills and support to be work ready.”
