Domingo Felix Ganoy, 88, of Lahaina, passed away on Sept. 19, 2016, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on April 23, 1928, in Suyo, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church; mass will begin at 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Norman’s Mortuary; prayer service will begin at 11:30 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:30 p.m., at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery in Wailuku.

Domingo retired from Pioneer Mill. He was predeceased by his wife, Martina Ganoy, and daughter, Gloria Pidlaoan. He is survived by his sons, Rogelio (Marilou) Ganoy, Lauren (Trinidad) Ganoy, Arsenio Ganoy; daughters, Nieves Vergara, Mina (Andres) Alamon, Elena (Christopher) Breckels, Teresita (Alvin) Panlasigue; brother, Jose (Vicenta) Ganoy; sister, Maria (Generoso) Comillas; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Jeremiah Mattson, 85, of Nāhiku, Maui, passed away on Sept. 15, 2016. He was born on May 9, 1931, in Hāna, Maui.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Ballard Family Mortuary. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.; service starts at 11 a.m.; Innichement will follow, 1 p.m., at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao.

Jeremiah was a retired Manager for Atlas Sales Company, Inc. He is survived by his sister, Isabelle “Kipela” Mattson; sister-in-law, Yoshiko Mattson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David Charles Hauser, 67, of Waikoloa, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016. David Charles Hauser was born on June 22, 1949. David was a retired Police SGT. for the Honokaʻa Police Department. Celebration of Life to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaʻa (45-5028 Plumeria Road Honokaʻa, HI 96727) on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. Visitation at 9:30 a.m., Mass at 11:30 a.m. He is survived by his wife Libby Kaopuiki of Waikoloa; sons Donovan (Keri) Hauser of O’ahu and Kukapuʻoʻuhaʻa “Boog” (Makaleka Barros) Gunderson of Waikoloa; daughter Davelyn (Carlos) Lopez of Honokaʻa; sisters Patricia Hauser of Washington and Francis (William) Andrade of Honokaʻa; 2 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family requests casual attire.Mrs Purdy is predeceased by her husband, Kaneikahekili Purdy. She is survived by sons, Harold (Barbara), Nainoa (Leina), Myron (Kristen), Byron (U’i), Todd (Trina); hanai daughter Gwen (J) Conway; sisters Velma Namahoe, Keala (Fred) Young; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Nellie Cervantes, 85, of Ocean View, was born in Los Angeles, California on May 31, 1931, and peacefully passed away on Sept. 13, 2016. Nellie was a homemaker.

She is survived by sons Michael Cervantes of Rowland Heights, California; David Cervantes of Ocean View, Hawaii; daughter Rebecca Cervantes of Azusa, California, brother Alex (Maryann) Jiminez of Anderson, South Carolina; sisters Connie (Gene) Calderon of Whittier, Californa; Ruth (Salvador) Esquer of Pico Rivera, California; Hortensia (George) Gurgian of Ontario, California; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

David McMurry
June 1945 – August 31, 2016

David Gene McMurry, 71, of Fresno, California, was born in Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa on June 15, 1945, and passed away on Aug. 31, 2016 in Waikoloa, Hawaiʻi. David served our Country in the Navy and worked in Construction.

He is survived by sons Nathan (Gina) McMurry of Fresno, California; Leif McMurry of Australia; daughters Christy (Thomas) Buehlmann of Australia; Melissa McMurry of Newberg, Oregon; Summer (Jay) Whatley of Australia; Asha McMurry of Australia; Leah McMurry of Australia; brother Robert (Thelma) McMurry of Fresno, California; sister Glenda McPherson of Oregon; and 11 grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday Sept. 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at People’s Church, located at 7172 N. Cedar Ave., Fresno, CA 93720.
