North: Waist/head high surf is expected today. The best breaks could get up to overhead on the sets in the afternoon.

West: Surf is knee/waist high today with the best exposures. Northwest Maui will catch some wrap at spots exposed to that direction.

South: Surf is knee/waist today.

screen-shot-2016-12-06-at-9-28-23-pmA new northwest swell is forecast to build today and into tomorrow, December 8th. This swell will fade late Thursday into Friday.

A small north-northeast swell is expected to show for the Kohala area.

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW AD

A small southwest swell is expected to slowly fade out over the next couple days, getting down to traces by the end of the week.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
