Q: With all the much-needed rain recently, our street up here in Makawao Ranch Acres has become a muddy mess.

There are two rainwater drains but the street is muddy and the path is blocked by years of dirt and encroaching lawn grass.

People parking on the easement leave holes and mud and make it worse.

Who’s responsible for the grates?

A: It is likely our responsibility, so County Public Works staff have been dispatched to check on the grate.
