Maui Oceanfront Marathon

The Shops at Wailea is will be the Starting Site for the 9th Annual Maui Oceanfront Marathon again this year, happening on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017.

The course begins at The Shops at Wailea and ends at Kamehameha Iki Park at the Banyan Tree in Old Lahaina Town.

There are two start times: Walkers starts at 4:30 a.m.; and runners begin at 5 a.m.

The Maui Oceanfront Marathon is a community event benefiting local school teams, civic clubs, and Maui non-profit groups that tend each mile of the race course, providing aid stations, entertainment, course monitors and coning.

The Marathon is a point to point race. The course is 26.2 miles with views of whales, beautiful oceanfront and mountain vistas.

The Half Marathon (13.1 miles) is an out and back oceanfront course starting at the Marathon oceanfront finish line at Kamehameha Iki Park in Lahaina.

The race garners over 1000 runners and visitor to Maui each year and is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
