1,487 Customers Lose Power In Kula During Heavy Rain

During a period of heavy rain around 8:53 p.m. on Wednesday night, about 1,487 customers in the Kula area experienced a power outage when a tree came down on lines along Kula Highway.

When work conditions were deemed safe, response crews made repairs to the downed lines, restoring the majority of customers by 3:24 a.m. this morning, with the remaining 237 customers brought back online by 5:38 a.m.
