Plan Your Route: Maui Lane Closures, April 22-28

The state Department of Transportation will conduct roadwork in Kahului and Pukalani on Maui this week, resulting in alternating lane closures.

On the Haleakalā Highway, night work will result in an alternating lane closure between Koloa Street and Kuleana Street in Kahului for restriping work, from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

On the Kula Highway, utility work will result in a right lane closure of the highway in the northbound direction between Makaena Place and the Old Haleakalā Highway in Pukalani between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

In Central Maui, there’s night work planned on Dairy Road at Keolani Place for restriping work.  This will result in an alternating lane closure in both directions between Hukilike Street and Palapala Drive from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., nightly.

On Waiehu Beach Road sewer pipe installations will result in alternating lane closures in both directions between Nukuwai Place and Kahului Beach Road from 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., nightly, for sewer pipe installations.

And on Lower Waiehu Beach Road, there will be a lane closure in the southbound direction between Puuloa Street and Waiehu Beach Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility installations.

All projects are weather permitting and subject to change without further notice.  Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the area and plan alternate routes accordingly.
