The awards celebrate the outstanding work and achievements of those who are transforming marketing in the retail real estate industry.

QKC was nominated in the Traditional Marketing/Cause-Event Marketing category for their 2016 “Let it Snow!” holiday program and was one of 18 finalists amidst hundreds of nominations. QKC was the only neighbor island shopping center finalist; three O‘ahu-based shopping centers received awards in the grand opening category.

“What an amazing community-win! We are so absolutely thrilled to bring home this prestigious award”, sayid Toni Rojas, Marketing Director at QKC.

“Hundreds of entries are received from around the globe, so to be named a US finalist is such an honor, let alone be the gold winner in our category. Our owners and management team are so very grateful to our Maui community and are committed to create ongoing traditions and memorable experiences like “Let it Snow!” for all of us to enjoy”, Rojas added.

Over the course of “Let it Snow!”, the shopping center estimated that over 24,000 residents and visitors went to QKC for the experience. The shopping center said that over 26 Maui County non-profit organizations were given the opportunity to outreach, educate and fundraise during the event and over 1,300 holiday angel gift packages were donated, over 1,000 keiki holiday toys were collected, over 16 community performances were scheduled, and over 17,600 complimentary Starbucks hot chocolates were consumed. A combined community donation value of over $210,000.

QKC plans on celebrating the win with a community mahalo event this summer. Details will be announced by mid-June.
