You may recognize Karen Gillan from her role as “Nebula” (which she will reprise in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2″), but she is also a first-time director and all around sweetheart. Maui Now’s Malika Dudley interviewed the statuesque 5’11” actor at this year’s Maui Film Festival where she accepted the “Rising Star” award for being a “young film artist whose every role, even in his or her formative years, surprises, enthralls and delights audiences of every age.”
