Unsettled Weather Possible This Weekend

Special Weather Statement: Coastal flooding is possible as spring tides occur. The greatest potential for that will be in the afternoon hours when the tide is expected to be the highest. This coupled with Fernanda swell could lead to higher than usual run-up. This could last through the weekend.
High Surf Advisory: East facing shores of Maui and Molokai through noon Monday.
Small Craft Advisory: East to northeast winds up to 25 knots through 6:00 a.m. Saturday.

Looking Ahead
An unsettled period is in the forecast for this weekend and into early next week as an upper level disturbance interacts with low level moisture riding in with the trades, and then with deeper tropical moisture associated with weakening and dissipating Tropical Storm Fernanda early next week. Drier weather with lower humidity and strong trades will return by midweek.

We expect east winds around 10 to 15 mph. High temperatures are forecast from 85° to 90° and feeling warmer with a higher heat index. Partly to mostly cloudy skies with showers likely in windward and mauka spots and scattered leeward showers.

Tonight & Sunday Night
Mostly cloudy skies with showers likely for windward spots and scattered showers for leeward areas. Low temperatures from 72° to 77°. Winds are expected to be northeast around 10 to 15 mph.
