Police say a gold 2004 Suzuki SUV, operated by a 34-year-old Kahului man, collided into two 14 year old girls, both from Kahului, who were crossing the roadway in a crosswalk near the intersection.

Maui Police Lt. Gregg Okamoto tells Maui Now that one of the pedestrians suffered minor injuries, and the other sustained serious injuries in the accident.   Police say injuries to both were considered non-life threatening.
