US News: Maui Among Top 3 Romantic Getaways

The island of Maui was among the top three destinations included on the new 2017-2018 Best Romantic Getaways ranking released today by US News & World Report.

The publication identified Napa Valley, CA as the top spot, followed by Kauaʻi and Maui in the Hawaiian Islands. Other locations on the list included Charleston, South Carolina at No. 4 and Savannah, Georgia at No. 5. The list also includes Cape Cod, No. 6, Lānaʻi at No. 8, Martha’s Vineyard, No. 9, and Aspen at No. 12.

The publication described Maui as “a home to romantic luxe resorts, exotic jungles and charming beaches, making it feel like a faraway paradise.”

With the help of user votes and expert opinions, US News considered ambiance, privacy and a city’s reputation, as well as the abundance of couple-friendly activities, in order to rank the most romantic retreats.

The annual rankings highlight 12 destinations across the United States that are ideal for romantic getaways.
