Hawai‘i Business Women to Be Featured at Special MBB Luncheon
Maui Business Brainstormers will celebrate American Business Women’s Day on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, with a special event.
“A Women’s Place is… “ will include a panel of eight successful women from Maui, O‘ahu, the Big Island and Kaua‘i who will share lessons they have learned about the business world.
American Business Women’s Day is a nationally recognized day set aside to honor and reflect on the contributions of the millions of women business owners and working women in the U.S.
The public is invited to attend the luncheon on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the King Kamehameha Golf Club in Wailuku.
The meeting is scheduled on American Business Women’s Day which celebrates the 1949 founding date of the American Business Women’s Association and commemorates the accomplishments of more than 68 million working women across the country.
MBB’s brainstorming panel will include:
- Melanie Marrero, CEO at Maui Brewing Company
- Diane Haynes Woodburn, publisher of Maui No Ka ‘Oi Magazine
- Gladys Baisa, retired Maui Council member, current Maui County deputy director of Water Supply
- Judy P. Capertina, Haole Girl Island Sweets (Kaua‘i)
- Debbie Finkiewicz, Maui Closet Company
- Leslie Malulani Shizue Miki, Abundant Life Natural Foods (Hawai‘i Island)
- Susie Thieman, executive director of Lokahi Pacific
- Mylen Fe Yamamoto, Cropsticks, (O‘ahu and Mainland)
“Women have been always disruptive, trailblazing, inspiring innovators and role models,” said RJK LLC owner and CPA Richard Kehoe. “RJK LLC would not miss this unique opportunity to show its appreciation for the women who make the journey upward to reach new heights, and toward positions of power and influence that can fulfill our world with better opportunities in business and in life.”
