CBD or cannabidiol is a compound found in cannabis that does not produce the euphoric effects of THC.

During his presentation Mr. Backes will explain how CBD and other cannabinoids interact with the Human Endocannabinoid System. He will also dispel several CBD myths.

“With four million patients using medical cannabis nationally, and nearly 22,000 registerd patients in Hawaiʻi, understanding how cannabis therapy works is more important than ever,” said Mr. Backes. “Chronic pain, migraine headaches, PTSD, epilepsy and dozens of other conditions can be safely and successfully managed with cannabis but it’s also important to understand it’s not a cure-all and not all cannabis plants or products are created equal.”
