The American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) will be hosting a free screening of the movie “Last Flag Flying” on Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center (MACC) McCoy Studio Theatre. The event will begin with a veterans resource panel discussion at 3:30 p.m. Resource tables and refreshments will be available outside the theater. The event is open to anyone.

“Last Flag Flying” is a 2017 American comedy-drama film directed by Richard Linklater, based on the 2005 novel of the same name. It stars Steve Carell, Bryan Cranston, and Laurence Fishburne as Vietnam War veterans. The film is rated R and runs for 2 hours and 5 minutes.

Tickets are free but registration is required to attend. Anyone interested in attending can call 844-418-2281 or go online to register. Attendees must register and bring their confirmation email to get in to the event. Registration is not available via the MACC Box Office. Seating is first-come first-served. It is not likely that there will be more guests than seats, but it is a possibility. Should the event be full, the AARP is not required to provide you a ticket to a future show.

More information on the event can be found on the MACCʻs website.
