‘Ukulele Virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro Returns to the MACC

Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents the return to Maui of ‘ukulele wizard and always-popular musical artist, Jake Shimabukuro. The concert is Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale for MACC members and they go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Jake Shimabukuro is a world-renowned ‘ukulele virtuoso who consistently surpasses every expectation of his audiences. Known for his lightning-fast fingers as well as the amazing breadth and depth of his mastery, Jake’s repertoire includesall music, all genres from mellow jazz and soulful blues to traditional Hawaiian tunes as well as classical music, bluegrass, flamenco, and rock. Jake’s latest album, The Greatest Day, was released in August.

Jake Shimabukuro’s concert is part of the MACC’s signature Ho‘onanea Series, so there will be pre-show festivities in the courtyard, displays of Maui arts & crafts, with dinners, snacks and a full range of beverages available for purchase.

Jake Shimabukuro tickets are $15, $25, $45, $65, with a limited number of premium $85 seats. Tickets are half price for kids 12 and under, with a 10% discount available to MACC members (both excluding the $15 seats).

Tickets are available at the MACC Box Office, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. by phone at 242-SHOW during business hours or online at MauiArts.org.
