Museum Exhibit of Maui’s Aviation History

The Maui Historical Society and Hale Hōʻikeʻike at the Bailey House in Wailuku is celebrating a new exhibit celebrating Maui’s aviation history.

Titled “Mōaukala O Ka ʻOihana Mokulele ma Maui”, the Aviation History of Maui exhibition is part of the E Pūlama Mau iā Maui exhibition series that runs from Dec. 27, 2018, to Jan.5, 2019.

The exhibit will be on display at the exhibition hall on the property of Hale Hōʻikeʻike at the Bailey House, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is free to the public and will cover the history and evolution of Mauiʻs airports, how Mauiʻs airports shaped our island’s tourist industry and the role WWII played on the development of Mauiʻs airports.
