The Assistance Dogs of Hawaiʻi will be hosting their 11th Annual Valentine’s Benefit Event at the Four Seasons Resort Maui on Saturday, Feb. 9. Tickets cost $175 per person and tables of ten are available for $1,750.

Attendees will be able to meet some of the ADH assistance dogs as well as enjoy a three-course dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment from Mauiʻs own Derek Sebastian. Guy Hagi and Kim Gennaula will emcee the event.

Since its inception in 2000, the ADH graduated over 100 service dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities and other special needs. ADH also places hospital facility dogs at Kapi’olani Medical Center, the Queen’s Medical Center, and the Straub Medical Center.

In addition, ADH places courthouse dogs at prosecutorsʻ offices around the state with the goal of helping children crime victims through the legal process. According to ADH, courthouse dogs help encourage children during interviews and testimonies. ADH places these assistance dogs and provides lifetime follow-up support free of charge.
