Training Exercise in Central Maui, Jan. 31

A training exercise is planned this Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 in Central Maui for members of the Hawaiʻi National Guard, Maui police officers and state and county firefighters.
The public may observe participants wearing full tactical gear or hazardous materials suits.
This training will be focused at a joint tactical training center near the Enterprise Rent-A-Car facility and Kahului Airport.
Maui County Emergency Management Agency plans and operations officer Andrea Finkelstein said the training is necessary to keep law enforcement officers and first responders prepared in the case of an actual emergency.
