The Department of Parks and Recreation is in the process of securing a contractor to complete repairs to the boilers that service the 50-meter pool and training pool at the Kihei Aquatic Center.

The boilers and the pool’s backup heaters have shut down and parks staff are expediting repairs, which could include flying in necessary parts. There is no immediate timeline for when the repairs will be completed, but the department will provide an update as soon as possible.

Both pools are still open during normal operating hours and the keiki pool remains heated.

The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks members of the public for their cooperation and apologizes for the inconvenience.
