6 Included on Maui Judicial Nominee List

A new Maui judge will be selected to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of former District Court Judge Rhonda Lai Loo on Maui.

Today, the Judicial Selection Commission announced a list of six nominees for the post in the Second Circuit Court, covering Maui, Molokaʻi , and Lanaʻi.

The nomination list includes the following individuals, in alphabetical order: Mimi DesJardins; Michelle L. Drewyer; Adrianne H. Heely; Adriel S.C. Menor; Richard A. Priest, Jr.; and Douglas J. Sameshima.

Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald has 30 days from his receipt of the list today to make his appointment.

The individual selected by the Chief Justice is also subject to Senate confirmation.
