9 Vehicle Thefts on Maui Jan. 1 to 7, 2012

There were a total of 9 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between January 1 and 7, 2012.

There were three incidents in Kihei; two in Kahului; and one incident each in Haiku, Napili, Pukalani and Wailea.

Three of the stolen vehicles have since been recovered.

The types of vehicles taken include: Honda Accord and Motorbike; Chevy Malibu and Trail Blazer; Nissan Van; Mazda Pickup; Ningbo Moped; Isuzu Rodeo; and Jeep Wrangler.

Haiku:

• Friday, 1/6/12, 6 p.m.:  Kaupakalua Road.  2010 Red Honda Motorbike with a Blue Fox sticker on the front fender.

Kahului:

• Monday, 1/2/12, 12 a.m.:  West Papa Avenue.  1993 Gray Nissan Van.  RECOVERED.
• Monday, 1/2/12, 10:40 p.m.:  Hina Avenue.  1989 Black Mazda pickup.  MTV384.

Kihei:

• Sunday, 1/1/12, 11:40 a.m.:  South Kihei Road.  2011 Silver Chevy Malibu.  LBR031.
• Tuesday, 1/3/12, 7:30 p.m.:  South Kihei Road at the Rainbow Mall.  Green Ningbo Phon GTZ moped. License #: M63503.  VIN #: L4YTAAB529B000176.
• Friday, 1/6/12, 10 p.m.:  2004 Maroon Isuzu Rodeo.  LBU557.

Napili:

• Monday, 1/2/12, 7:30 p.m.:  Lower Honoapiilani Highway at Kahana Sunset.  2010 Blue Jeep Wrangler.  RECOVERED.

Pukalani:

• Sunday, 1/1/12, 3:40 a.m.:  Kumano Drive.  2005 Green Chevy Trail Blazer.  RECOVERED.

Wailea:

• Tuesday, 1/3/12, 12:54 a.m.:  Wailea Alanui Drive at the Marriott Wailea.  1996 Green Honda Accord.  License #: GGA306.
