6 on Maui Pull Papers as Candidate Filing Opens

Six Maui residents pulled papers as the candidate filing period opened on Wednesday.
Among those pulling papers were incumbent council members Mike Victorino of Wailuku, Bob Carroll of East Maui, and Don Couch of South Maui.

Others pulling papers included Joe Blackburn for the council’s Wailuku residency seat, Alan Fukuyama for the Kahului seat, and Antonio Gimbernat for the US Senate.
The candidate filing deadline is June 5 for those seeking placement on the August 11 primary election ballot.
