18 Vehicle Thefts on Maui Feb. 5 to 11, 2012

There were a total of 18 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between February 5 and 11, 2012.

The incidents were spread throughout different districts including five incidents in Kahului, four incidents in Lahaina, and two incidents each in Kihei and Waikapu.  Eight of the vehicles have since been recovered.

Kahului:

• Thursday, February 9, 2012, 3:40 p.m.:  West Mokuea Place at Avis Rent-A-Car.  2001 Silver Ford F150.  RECOVERED.

• Friday, February 10, 2012, 1 a.m.:  Hoohana Street at Miki’s Bar.  2002 Silver Toyota 4Runner.  Lic#: MKY063. VIN#: JT3GN86R820250453. RECOVERED.
• Friday, February 10, 2012, 6:20 p.m.:  Kaahumanu Avenue at the Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center.  1987 Gray Toyota Hilux.  Lic#: LAP817. VIN#: JT4RN50R5H0275539. RECOVERED.

Kihei:

• Wednesday, February 8, 2012, 7:30 a.m.:  Keonekai Road at Keonekai Villages.  2009 Black Mazda.  Lic#: PWG776. VIN#: 1YVHP81AX955M22565.
