County on Your Corner to Visit Hana and Maui Matsuri

The next edition of Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa’s “County on Your Corner” event, will be held on Thursday, May 10 from noon to 2 p.m. at Paanimai Skate Park in Hana; and on Saturday, May 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the 12th Annual Maui Matsuri at University of Hawaii Maui College.

Joining Mayor Arakawa at the May 10 event will be: Parks & Recreation Deputy Director Pat Matsui and Executive Assistants Bill Medeiros and Zeke Kalua.

Among those set to attend the May 12 event are: Council Members Don Couch and Mike Victorino, as well as Public Works Director David Goode, Transportation Director JoAnne Johnston-Winer, Housing & Human Concerns Deputy Director Jan Shishido, and Executive Assistants Bill Medeiros, Zeke Kalua, and John Buck.

“It is important to connect with people face to face,” said Mayor Arakawa in a statement. “‘County on Your Corner,’ which is scheduled in different locations each month, is a good way for us to interact with the community on the issues that are of most interest to them.”
