2 Survive After Being Swept Away at ʻOheʻo

Two men survived being swept into the ocean at ʻOheʻo Gulch on Sunday afternoon.
The incident was reported at 5:07 p.m., May 27, 2012, and crews from the Hana Fire station were dispatched to respond.
While enroute, a park ranger called, reporting that both parties had made to it shore at around 5:25 p.m., according to Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga.
When crews from Engine 7 arrived at around 5:40 p.m., the reported finding two males in their mid-twenties with minor injuries including scrapes and cuts to their legs and back.
Both declined medical attention.
