Lahaina McDonald’s Grand Re-Opening

This past Saturday, the Lahaina McDonald’s had its grand re-opening after being rebuilt from the ground up.

Around 100 people turned out to watch the entertainment, which ranged from hula dancers to fireworks and dragons.

Kahu Alalani Hills delivered the blessing while the Gee Yung International Martial Arts, based out of Honolulu, provided the dragon and lion dance. Ronald McDonald himself also made an appearance at 11 a.m.

Co-owner Grelyn Rosario said that the extreme make-over was to “help the restaurant

become more environmentally friendly.” From the pavement to the energy efficient appliances, the owners have seemingly backed such eco-conscious claims with action.

Serving up to 3000 people a day (according to the owners), customers will no doubt appreciate the convenience of a two-lane drive through that is open 24 hours.

Inside, among the changes is a digital menu board with new menu items. While they still have the same delicious options, they have added the new spicy chicken McBites and a chocolate chip frappe. Pair that with their world famous fries to subdue your sweet and salty cravings.

“We have the friendliest staff, the hardest working staff, and we enjoy all of them as a ‘McFamily,'” Rosario says. They are still hiring other positions at this time and interested applicants are invited to go to their website to apply.
