“Websites have changed the way people interact with their government,” said Maui Mayor Alan Arakawa in a press release today. “Mauicounty.gov enables people to access county information and services online saving time and money, which is why having the best website we can possibly have is so important,” he said.

Last month county officials say the website recorded more than 300,000 page-views, and more than 120,000 visits, half of which were new visitors.

Mayor Arakawa extended his congratulations to all Maui County employees, who he said helped to earn this award.
