, formerly the executive chef at the Pineapple Grill in Kapalua, has joined Hula Grill Kaanapali as the restaurant’s new executive sous chef.

The Nisei Veterans Memorial Center has received a $25,000 grant from the First Hawaiian Bank Foundation to support the construction of the Nisei Veterans Memorial Center educational facility.

The West Maui Animal Clinic added Dr. Hillary Nauss to its staff of veterinarians.

Maui Preparatory Academy announced the addition and/or promotion of several staff members starting with the 2012 school year: Ryan Kirkham, director of student life and athletics and upper school science; Kawika Casco, athletic director; Angie Glass, pre-school teacher; Dr. Kathleen Ireland, upper school science faculty; Kay Milne, art teacher; and Kristie Fetterly, middle school English faculty.
