Maui Police are seeking the public’s help in locating an inmate that reportedly walked away from his prison work detail in Lahaina on Friday morning, November 9, 2012.

The man was identified as Henry “Hana” Rosenthal, 31, of Lahaina. He is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, distinguishing facial triangle tattoos running down the right side of his face and neck, and a deformed right ear.

Police say Rosenthal was last seen wearing a bright orange issued shirt from the Maui Community Correctional Center, with blue jeans and work boots.

Rosenthal was assigned to assist with repairs at the Lahaina Civic Center, but upon conducting checks at the site, a guard noticed Rosenthal was not at his posted location.  The incident was reported at 10:30 a.m., and an escape report was immediately made.  Information was later distributed to media outlets at around 3 p.m.

If seen, or if the public has information on Rosenthal’s whereabouts, police ask that they call 911 immediately.  Police say Rosenthal is to be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
