Water Conservation Requested in Upper Kula
By Wendy Osher
Customers in Upper Kula are asked to conserve water today due to a power outage in the Olinda area.
Booster pumps at the Department of Water Supply are also down and the DWS will not be able to pump water up to the Upper Kula storage tanks until power is restored.
Water officials say they hope to have service restored by later this afternoon.
In the interim, customers are asked to use water only as needed for health and safety purposes in order to extend the supply available in the storage tanks.
Customers are asked to call the 24-hour service line at 270-7633 only if a water problem occurs.
