Maui Services Planned for Sen. Inouye

A Maui memorial service will be held for US Senator Daniel Inouye this week Saturday at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
The memorial includes visitation at 9 a.m., followed by service at 10 a.m. at the Castle Theater.
The memorial is one of three neighbor island services taking place this week.
The others include:
- Hilo at the Afook-Chinen auditorium on Thursday, December 27, 12 p.m. visitation, 1 p.m. service.
- Kauai’s War Memorial Convention Hall on Friday, December 28, 2012, 4 p.m. visitation, 5 p.m. service.
A service was held on Oahu over the weekend at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Dignitaries attending that event included President Barak Obama.
US Sen. Inouye died on Dec. 17, 2012 after suffering from respiratory complications. He was 88.
