Mechanical Problems Result in Missed Kula Refuse Service

Trash pickup service was missed in parts of Kula today because of mechanical problems.

Officials with the County of Maui Solid Waste Division say affected areas include: Haleakala Highway, Holomakani Drive, Holomakani Place, Kainana Place, Kamehameiki Road, Kekaulike Avenue, Kolohala Drive, Lower Kula Road, Naalae Road, Pulehuiki Road, Ululani Street, Wahealani Street, and all other surrounding streets and roads.

Department officials apologized for the inconvenience, and anticipate a resumption of service on the missed route to take place on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
