BRIEF: 4,000 Maui Residential Refuse Accounts Past Due

An estimated 4,000 residential refuse accounts are past due according to officials with the County of Maui Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division.

Final notices were mailed out, with a due date of January 25, 2013.

County officials say all accounts that remain unpaid after the deadline will be closed, and a $30 fee will be charged to re-open an account.

Payments may be made at or mailed to Solid Waste Division, 2200 Main Street, Room 200, Wailuku, HI, 96793.
