Power Restored After Outage in Lahaina, Waiehu

Electrical service has been restored to customers in Waiehu area as of 9:50 a.m. and the Lahaina area as of 9:54 a.m.  Officials from Maui Electric Company apologized for any inconvenience this situation may have caused and thanked customers for their patience and understanding.

Maui Electric Company has confirmed a power outage in the Lahaina and Waiehu areas.

The following areas are affected by the outage: areas of Lahaina, Olowalu, Launiupoko, Waiehu Terrace, Waiehu Heights, Wailuku Country Estates, and laterals.

Officials say MECO crews are working to identify the cause and restore electrical service as quickly and safely as possible.
