Two Warrior Elite All-Star Cheer Teams Win Nationals

Maui’s Warrior Elite All-Stars Cheerleading Club captured top honors in the Youth Level 1 (ages 8-12) and Junior Level 2 (9-14) divisions at the Contest of Champions 2013 Nationals competition held Sunday, March 3, at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla.

In addition to earning first-place honors, the Warrior Elite All-Star girls were also presented with $1,000 check for the highest team score (youth division) according to the panel of expert judges.

“It was an exciting day for the girls, their parents and families,” head coach Cyn Los Banos said. “The team was right on their marks and represented Maui with great poise, ability and spirit.”

A total of  45 teams from all over the nation participated. There were five teams in each division. The Warrior Elite Cheerleading squad returns to Maui on Wednesday, March 6.

Assisting Los Banos were coaches Chante Diaz and Jen Galicinao.

Members of the Youth Level 1 team are: Kaumaka Johnson, Jhennesy Galicinao, Karina Nakanishi, Behlye Laferriere, May Molina, Kamryn Vinoray, Adriane Manuel, and Annalyn Hatfield.

Members of the Junior  Level 2 team are: Karina Nakanishi, Behlye Laferriere, May Molina, Kamryn Vinoray, Adriane Manuel, Annalyn Hatfield, Tatiana Galicinao, Bryeana Laferriere, Kalee Bacongco, Malie Wickes, Jayda Robia, Kleina Ramos, Anuhea Doran, and Opu Barretto.
