The population of Maui County, as of the 2010 US Census, was 154,834.

The population increases were attributed mainly to natural increases (birth less death) and international migration.

On an average, between July 1, 2011 and July 1, 2012, the estimates revealed that:

      • there was an increase of 4 people per day;
      • 6 births per day and 3 deaths per day;
      • one more person moving into Maui County from foreign countries than those moving out of the county to foreign countries per day; and
      • less than 1 more person moving into the county from other states in the US than those moving out of the county into other states per day.

The release contains population data from 2010 to 2012 at the county level. The data include total county population and the components of population changes, but no details by age, sex, and race are available at this time.
