Maui County Unemployment Drops to 4.2% in August

The Island of Maui in Maui County recorded a 4% unemployment rate in August 2014, down from the 4.5% rate recorded in July, and down from the 4.8% rate reported in August of last year.

Software giant, Oracle Corp. announced today the resignation of chief executive officer Larry Ellison, who is also the majority owner of the Island of Lānaʻi in Maui County.
