Once again, the rumors are true. This time it’s South Kihei’s Sports Page Grill and Bar that will be closing their doors next week, at the end of the month.

The Kīhei Youth Center received a $1,500 donation from the representatives of the proposed Piʻilani Promenade project in South Maui. This is the second donation from the project to the youth center this year.

Tourism to Haleakalā National Park in 2013 generated more than $47 million in visitor spending and supported 536 jobs in the area, according to new data released by the National Park Service.

Maui County’s unemployment rate for June was 5.1%, up from the 4.7% reported a month earlier, and down from the 5.6% recorded at the same time last year, according to new information released by the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
