Education updates and water issues facing the Upcountry area of Maui will be the focus of discussion at the upcoming meeting of the Kula Community Association, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the Kula Community Center.
Danny Mynar was born and raised on Maui, graduated from Hāna High school, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in business from New Mexico State University. He is the new assistant general manager of Destination Resorts Hawaiʻi.
The training sessions will focus on customer service and sales management training. This includes employee recruitment, development, motivation and retention as well as supervisory, coaching and team building skills.
Attorneys for the nonprofit Maui Lani Neighbors, Inc. filed additional complaints against state, county and federal agencies over the Central Maui Regional Sports Complex, currently under construction in Waikapū.
Discussion on the planned Kīhei High School will take place at an upcoming meeting of the Kīhei Community Association on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014. A panel of consultants and lawmakers to field questions about the progress of the project and associated improvements.
The certification comes following a two year effort to conduct renovations aimed at energy efficiency and sustainability throughout the resort. More than 70% of purchased items at the resort are now local, recycled or made with renewable resources.
